My family and I had the pleasure of visiting La Tejana for the first time today. They were hosting a pop-up event with Z&Z, and we were eager to try their Chicken Shawarma Tacos. We were not disappointed! The tacos were absolutely delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be returning to La Tejana in the future to sample their regular menu items.

Love these breakfast tacos!! The softest, most delicious handmade flour tortillas. Personal favorite is the super migas. And the shop is so cute! Great new addition to Mt Pleasant.

My favorite restaurant in DC. As a Texan, this place makes me feel at home. Best margaritas and tacos in town. Not to mention the best staff. I <3 you la tejana.

The best tacos I have ever had in my entire life. I think about them everyday. I’m not even kidding. As a Mexican Texan, I appreciate what la tejana has to offer in D.C. The flavors, the sauces, the homemade tortillas, the brisket, the decorations. It brings you back to home. Nothing can beat this. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is so welcoming. 10/10 always reccomend la tejana ????

Went for the breakfast tacos, returned for the cocktails and atmosphere. I love the vibe of this place, plus the hosting and service staff does a phenomenal job. I'll be back to take pictures of the amazing cocktails and try more of the menu. Pro-tip: Book a rez if you can! If not, plan to wait a while for seating. This place stays PACKED during their peak hours. **Update** Back for more cocktails! The Nostalgia Naranja, frozen del dia, and Texas Ranch Water were perfect for the warm weather.

Highly recommend this taco place in NW DC. La choripapa and tío Willie were my favorite. Tacos cost 4.50$ each but you can get 6 for $24. Their charred tomato and cilantro crema salsa were delicious. Additionally they have cafe se olla and horchata.

The best tacos in DC. And some of the best people in the world New research from the Mayo Clinic has shown that people who leave one star reviews simply because a restaurant sold out also have tiny penises???????? and have never given their partner an orgasm. Yeah, we see you Fernando

I’m from the RGV, my Valley accent came back after I ate my tacos. Jaja. Was super excited to try La Tejana and the tacos did not disappoint. True to the owner’s vision, the eggs are to these tacos what Lebowski’s rug is to the room. The place was packed, with a line out the door, but the wait wasn’t long and the tacos are worth it. The tortilla is a Valley tortilla- authentic and delicious. The portions are perfect, the tacos are well balanced. I had the 956, Tio Willie & Super Migas tacos. My fave this morning was the Super Migas and the other two were super tasty as well. Loved this place, coming back with the whole family. Órale! Puro pinche 956!
